The front of this barn has a unique roofline, and the cantilever in the back is great weather protection for the stable doors underneath. The other building is an old balcksmith shop, with original tools inside.

Marvin installed a new concrete wall under the entrance (barn bank) to keep the bank from caving in. There is now an electrical business in the basement, where Marvin installed a radiant heat (hot water) concrete floor.

When renovations began, you could see the sky from the crawl space — that is, through the first floor, second floor, and roof. Marvin installed a new roof, put a basement below this building, and totally transformed the interior and exterior to retain as much of the traditional look as possible. Today, it is home to residential space and Knitting Off Broadway — Fort Wayne's premier shop for luxury and hard-to-find natural yarn.
